The St Johns River runs directly North thru our southern most locations and into downtown Jacksonville and then turns to empty into the ocean.  The river is absolutely tidal which creates a brackish water for many miles down the river.  The riverfront homes available are all throughout the city and will range from the $200's to well into the millions.  If you are wanting to be more of a Southside location, you can find waterfront homes under $500k on the river, but it's slim pickings.  Top locations like San Marco Waterfront, Ortega Waterfront, Mandarin waterfront, and Ponte Vedra waterfront you'll find more riverfront homes in the $1mm+ range.  Living on the river in Jacksonville will give you easy access to fishing, water skiing, and you can cruise out to the jetties or take your boat off shore into the Atlantic.  

Intracoastal Waterfront Homes For Sale

Our Intracoastal system runs from the Atlantic Beach area down through Ponte Vedra and into St Augustine.  Great fishing in all the intracoastal and creeks exist year round and I've personally water ski'd the intracoastal year round.  It's a great body of water for just cruising around, fishing, skiing, traveling up and down the coast, etc.  Houses on the intracoastal are available in quite the spread of pricing.  We see some intracoastal homes selling for below $500k, but most are above this.  We are seeing a large demand for these homes as the access to the ocean is just up the canal.  Renovations are also happening up and down the intracoastal.  Make sure you check out renovation opportunities in the Isle of Palms!  

Deep Water Access Homes in Jacksonville
