Enter NAR (National Association of Realtors). NAR is the key holder for all the data in MLS. They protect it for many reasons but they are often considered by many, including their members, as Old School.
Just recently NAR has decided that Google is a “Scraper site” and Realtors can’t make their listed property details “Indexable” by Google on their websites. Short speak: Listed properties will be more difficult to find. This is currently happening in Indianapolis only. Can this spread to other areas of the country? Could this spread to Jacksonville, FL? Not sure, but they are taking the battle to DC next week.
NAR needs to step out of the 80’s and check out this great place called the World Wide Web.
