Shopping for a waterfront home in and around Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra can be fun, difficult, and frustrating. Building a Home is a Bargain right now:
Builders, designers, and architects all say that right now is a great time to build. The leading contributors to this:
- Unemployed workers and under-employed workers provide cheaper than average labor cost.
- Builders are more aggressive on bidding to get the job as their backlog of work has drastically slowed.
- Construction materials are available at bargain prices.
- Property cost is for sale at bargain prices as Sellers finally start getting serious about selling.
All the planets are lining up except for one....financing. The banks are very tight with their money in every price range and especially in the Jumbo loan category. That being said, the majority of this years Ocean Front home sales in Duval and St Johns County have been cash purchases.
